Grade 7 girls used their math skills in Boston during the annual Math Trails field trip. Challenges included calculating the rate of speed of the Swan Boats, determining all of the ways the Make Way for Ducklings statues could walk in a single file line, using a proportion to calculate the height of a lamppost at Quincy Market, and finding a creative strategy to estimate how many times you would have to walk the Labyrinth at the Armenian Heritage Park to travel a mile (answer: 6 times!).#NCDS #MiddleSchool #mathtrails #boston #swanboats #fieldtrip
