Oftentimes in this sport, the time on the clock says it all. It reflects your fitness, your ability as a runner, your will.
Sometimes, however, the time on the clock could never say enough. That it’s your first race in a year. That you’ve been struggling with a practically undiagnosable injury for over two years. That, despite all that, you still have what it takes to claw back to the level you once were.
