Connecting our breath to our bodies, we wrapped up the loveyourbrain tour with a yoga class at oneyogavan and screening of our film in Whistler, BC. Across nine cities, people have stepped into the tour with honesty and vulnerability, to share their story and connect through experiences of TBI: “It’s an invisible injury, so even when you look really well, it doesn’t mean that you feel very well. That’s an ongoing problem for me. As soon as my hair covered my scar, people were saying: ‘Isn’t it over? Aren’t you better yet?’ And it’s true, I’m better today than I was yesterday, but it’s really like an hour-by-hour, minute-by-minute thing.”— teresaclaire, actress and writer, on healing from a traumatic brain injury (TBI). We’ve witnessed that every injury is vastly different, but that the impact of having a community is common. Learn more about how our #heretobe partner loveyourbrain is shifting the accessibility of that community on our features.
