What seem like small moments at first, actually turn out to make all the difference.
This is one in particular fascinates me. It’s the morn of day two and with me I have JP and Jordan, discussing the pure nature of what we’re doing. In a sort of dumbfounded chuckle, one of us says, “we’re in Fergus Falls, it’s 5:30 am, and we started in Fargo yesterday. What the actual hell are we doing??” This skit is what came next.
Moments like these happened often. And as often as they came, bursts of laughter and joy followed closely behind. We’d take inventory on the magnitude of the situation while poking fun at how outrageous it truly was.
I cherish these moments, and I don’t take for granted all the sacrifice and support people went through in order to make them happen. Here I’ve got old college teammates, from different sports, that came together to form a new team from nothing. I’ve got a company that gave us a van, endless coffee, and a whole lot of moral support.
