April 15th marks Jackie Robinson’s historic MLB debut. Robinson’s courage blazed a trail for all of America, and we join Baseball in commemorating Jackie Robinson Day. This photo of Jackie Robinson was taken right here in Syracuse in 1946, at old MacArthur Stadium—you can see the Muench-Kreuzer Candle Factory in the background. Robinson was playing for the Montreal Royals, who in 1961 became... the Syracuse Chiefs! The team is on the road today; we will celebrate Jackie Robinson at NBT Bank Stadium this coming Friday, April 21! $4 from every ticket purchased through this link will benefit the @dunbarassociation: fevo.me/syrjackierobinsonday
