UAPB FOOTBALL – NFL WEEK 3 REPORT
Former University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff football standouts Jamie Gillan and Terron Armstead were in action Sunday during NFL Week 3 action.
Cleveland won for the second straight week, defeating Washington 34-30. Trailing by three points entering the fourth quarter, the Browns scored 17 unanswered points to win in scoring 30 points in back-to-back games for the first time since 2010.
Gillan averaged 45.8 yards on five punts with two downed inside the 20. He had punts of 39 and 43 yards in the first quarter, and 50 yards in the second quarter. Gillan had a game-long 57-yard punt along with a 40-yard effort in the third quarter.
Armstead and the Saints were involved in another prime-time game on Sunday night against Green Bay, but were on the short end of a 37-30 score.
The back-and-forth-contest saw four lead changes and was tied at 27-all after three quarters before the Packers scored the first 10 points of the final period to take control.
