UAPB FOOTBALL NFL REPORT – WEEK 1 Former University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff football standouts Terron Armstead and Jamie Gillan opened the 2020 NFL season with their respective teams on Sunday. Armstead and the New Orleans Saints won at home over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 34-23. Gillan and the Cleveland Browns lost at the Baltimore Ravens, 38-6. Armstead and the Saints’ gained 271 yards against a tough Bucs’ defense, taking advantage of great field position throughout the game. The offense had five scoring drives, two of them beginning on the Tampa Bay side of the field, and did not turn the ball over in the win. Gillan averaged 45.7 yards on three punts for the Browns, and had one carry for -2 yards on a fake punt attempt. Gillan had a 59-yard punt in the second quarter, a 37-yard punt in the third quarter, and a 41-yard punt in the fourth quarter.
