Senior Spotlight #UAPBFootball Taeyler Porter Senior Taeyler Porter, a native of Immokalee, Florida, made an impact on the team from the time he stepped on campus in 2018.  Porter one of the most humble and hardworking student-athlete with the Golden Lions football squad.  Porter wrote his name in the record book, becoming just the third player in program history with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. Porter rushed for 1,027 yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns in only 10 games in leading the Golden Lions to their first winning season since 2012. He posted four 100-yard rushing games, highlighted by a season-best 197-yards, two-touchdown game in the 45-13 win in the season finale against Texas Southern to clinch the winning season. Porter had a school-record 98-yard touchdown run against Lane that proved to be the game-winner in UAPB's 45-38 victory over Lane, the first homecoming win for the program since 2012.
