Seeing wild kangaroos and koalas was an experience in Australia that Allie won’t forget! 🦘 While studying abroad in Sydney, Australia, sophomore Allie Thallman’s typical day looked very different than her day-to-day in the Midwest. She could be found sitting on the steps of the Sydney Opera House, exploring the rainforest, discovering a new coastal walk or visiting the Great Barrier Reef. Even the classroom provided a new perspective. Allie shares, “It was a step forward in my political science major; seeing how the world works together gave me more of a worldview and a better understanding of how other countries work together.” Getting to meet students from all over the world and explore a new culture were “major highlights” for the Nebraska native.
