#SnapshotofaUofMGrad Congratulations to #MemphisAlum, Ivan Ortiz 🎓 🐯 Ivan graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology on December 11, 2022. He is the first in his family to graduate from college. Ivan said his journey, like many other first-generation and non-traditional students, involved overcoming one obstacle after another. He credits the UofM with having "many exciting and incredible opportunities that allowed me to take advantage of what a university has to offer. I studied abroad in three different countries, participated in five student success programs, and secured internships with multiple Memphis agencies, including Epic Pivot & Overton Park Shell.
