"Being outdoors is being able to connect to my roots. My goal is to learn about the plants around me, their names, how to use them, and their spiritual meaning. It connects me to my ancestors, to my Taino culture. Not only that but being in the outdoors reminds me that I am meant to be here, loud and Proud, especially as a queer woman of color.
