“10 years after learning to climb I can lead sport and trad and have ice-climbed a decent amount. I've climbed in a couple different states and have even had my photo on a 2-page spread in Climbing Magazine (TY chris_vultaggio ). Climbing achievements are typically proud sends, but without climbing I would have never taken the risks I have with work or personal life. The network of amazing people I've become connected with through the sport are the very same people who helped keep my business alive during COVID. They are the same people who have checked in on me during hard times, given me a space to crash upstate, and lent me a listening ear and a patient catch when I've needed time outside. It's hard to express everything this sport has brought me, which is why I am pushing every day to make climbing more equitable.
