The "call of the wild" is no stranger to LGBTQ+ community. The allure of fresh, boundless space to be yourself is appealing to us and our community for so many reasons and is why I started getoutandtrek . It's an incredible time for underrepresented  communities (BIPOC, LGBTQ+, etc), particularly in the outdoors. As these communities gain a greater voice, we're seeing more and more outdoor clubs, groups, and programming come online. This is really exciting. .  That's not to say that getting outdoors is easy for underrepresented folks. We still lack access and representation in marketing imagery, product development, programming, employment, policies, and sponsorships. Change is hard.
