The motherland of kilts, bagpipes, thistles and haggis has been home to extraordinary legends of motorsport. Some of them are Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart and also Dario Franchitti, a driver who grew up in the European DTM before chasing a fulfilling career overseas where, between CART and IndycarSeries, he competed from 1997 to 2013. After a not very successful debut with Hogan Racing, Franchitti linked his name to the Andretti Green Racing team, the same team with whom he raced until 2007, the year of his first Indy 500 and his first IndyCar title, won thanks to a sprint over Scott Dixon. After a year in NASCAR (2008), it was with the New Zealand driver that the Scot would share the Chip Ganassi box, literally dominating the Series in the following years. Three titles in three seasons, 12 victories and the second win at the 2010 Indy 500 ahead of his friend Dan Wheldon.
