The 2022 season of the NTT Indycar Series is a rollercoaster of emotions: 8 different winners in 14 races, 9 different polemen and 7 drivers within the space of 59 points in the standings. The victory of Scott McLaughlin at St. Petersburg, the first round of the season, represented the only case where the poleman managed to triumph under the chequered flag on Sunday. As a matter of fact, there have been incredible comebacks, as demonstrated last Sunday by Scott Dixon, who was able to break Michael Andretti's record for victories by starting from 14th position on the Nashville street circuit.
The season opened with a Penske hat-trick. If Florida gave McLaughlin his first career triumph, the Texas oval and the glamorous city of Long Beach saw Newgarden win twice. He is the current record holder in terms of wins this season (4).
