It’s the ninth #qualifying of the season at the #MidOhioSportsCarsCourse and the sun is shining on track. The first group of drivers is about to hit the circuit and try to make it into Round 2. Everybody is on hard tyres, except for Dalton Kellet who is on soft. On the first attempt, Will Power sets the top time. Nevertheless, at the end of the session Will Power gets his best time eliminated after having caused an impending to Helio Castroneves by waving on the straight. The Australian drops from P1 to P11 (he will then start P21 in the race). After a clean first round without red flags, the 6 drivers making to Round 2 are: McLaughlin, Veekay, Pagenaud, Rossi, Ilott and Malukas.
