In the middle of #ohio , near Lexington, stands the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course: a road course stretching and twisting around the country, born with modest ambitions and ended up being among the main racing facilities of the #usa .  This story begins when Les Griebling convinced some friends to invest in a road course and the ground was broken in 1961. Griebling designed the layout by himself, imagining a challenging track, tough to master. It never changed since, apart from modifications at Thunder Valley, which became a faster section following complaints of the drivers for the track being too slow. Also, an alternative layout bypassing the chicane before The Keyhole has been built in 1990.
