Since the 2002 season, his name has been inextricably linked to that of Chip Ganassi, a wonderful synergy that has allowed the New Zealander to win six titles - thanks to 50 wins and 125 podiums - as well as to place 13 times among the top 3 in the final standings and also to win the infamous Indy500 in 2008. By gaining one more victory, Dixon would become the first and only driver to win at least one race in eighteen consecutive seasons.
