🏆DETROIT PAST WINNERS🏆 The event that follows the Indy 500 takes place on the bumpy streets of Belle Isle, a small island located in Detroit, in the middle of the homonymous river located at the Canadian border. The NTT Indycar Series has been running regularly on the city streets of the "Motor Town" since 2012, when Scott Dixon came out on top. From the following year until last season (with the exception of 2020, due to the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic), Detroit has been the scene of the traditional Indycar double-header, hosting two grand prix on the same weekend.
