"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King’s words will always ring true. Silence at this moment in our history is complicit. And that’s why The Birmingham Organizing Committee for The World Games 2022 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 our African American community here in the United States and across the world and 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 racial injustice, inequality and violence. With open hearts and minds, we seek to listen and better understand. And just as importantly, we pledge to take action, independently and together, to ensure that racial injustice will never be tolerated. As we continue to prepare for The World Games 2022 Birmingham, we remain dedicated to our mission of inclusion for athletes, fans and our community, and look forward to uniting people peacefully through the celebration of sport. #BhamStrong
