‘Twas the night before finals,
When all across campus
Students crammed to shove knowledge
In their hippocampus
Snow fell from trees,
The night crept closer.
The sound of the keyboards
mimicking a composer.
The students were quite sleepy
but none touched their beds,
while visions of essays
danced in their heads
The rustle of flying flashcards,
The scratch of pencil on paper;
The smell of coffee brewing
Helped us study even later.
It seemed like the night would never end
When, suddenly, the library doors opened wide.
We all looked up from our textbooks to see
Louie the Lumberjack tumble inside!
He walked through Cline with a big grin
High fiving all in sight.
He lifted our spirits, gave us some snacks,
And shared his advice to get through the night
Your grades will be good,
Your professors will be fair.
You have no need to fear
You are almost there!
Just keep calm and kick axe–
We're all rooting for you all,
So let’s go Jacks!
