I was positioned at the finish line of the Elite ITU #Triathlon World Championship and, while I could hear the crowd yelling, I wasn't able to see why. I did know that Great Britain’s Jonathan Brownlee had been in first place going into the final stretch, as I had seen him leading South Africa’s Henri Schoeman during the last lap. But it was Schoeman who came into view first, celebrating as he made the 200m approach to the finish line. When Jonny Brownlee appeared shortly after, I immediately realized why the crowd had been going crazy. He was arm-in-arm with his older brother, Alistair, who had stopped running to come to his aide.
