“I was on Twitter the other day, and I saw people were mad at LL Cool J. I looked on his account and saw he was saying some tone-deaf things about the anti police brutality protests. People asked him to expand on his points and he got defensive. I ended up tweeting at him, as well, and he offered to host a debate on Instagram Live. So I got on with him. He said he wanted our generation’s perspective about what’s going on right now and how I felt about the protests. I told him I was disappointed with how it’s being handled on both the state and federal level, as well as how the media is portraying it. I feel like they are showing a narrative that is not entirely true. I expressed that I feel that police officers should be expected to study the law to the same extent as lawyers do since they are the ones executing the laws.
