Michaela: People on campus will always remember September 26, 2016 as Debate Day. We’ll always remember it as the day we met! — Raymond: I had plans to visit my old high school on Debate Day. I was ready to go. I went to wait for the train shuttle, sat at the stop for a minute and realized something didn’t feel right. I felt like something more important was going to happen that day. So I watched the shuttle come and go, ultimately staying on campus. And then I met Michaela. It was crazy. Something bigger said, “Don’t go on that shuttle. Stick around.” It’s all so crazy. We basically have the day we met printed on a shirt. There’s also a shot of us pretty much next to each other in a crowd on TV before we actually met. — Michaela: Something else really cool aside from how we met is that we’re both film majors.
