"The Good Body spoke to me. It touches on a wide range of issues that a lot of people can relate to. The whole point is to bring about a more dynamic discussion about body image. A lot of times people don’t realize something they are dealing with internally is related to body image. It’s become second nature for us to criticize ourselves and others for physical appearances and imperfections.
I've experienced a lot of things that have caused me to have a warped view of what I look like, but I'm learning to love my body and accept it for its flaws. I’m constantly trying to learn how to have a healthy relationship with food and fitness, and I’ve grown even more compassionate toward people who have a negative self image.
We want the audience to leave thinking about their bodies. I want them to stop themselves the next time they talk negatively about a body – whether it be theirs or someone else’s. What does a “good body” look like, anyway? And who gets to say who has one or doesn't?" Cat...
