✨🌈”Body positivity was actually created by fat Black queer women. It is a social justice movement that came from fat liberation.” -
@kaylaloganblog 💖 Kayla Logan shines a light on the origins of the body positivity movement. 🌈✨
Did you know?
The body positivity movement, was formed in the 1960s and was meant to create a space by and for marginalized bodies.
By centering the intersection of Black voices, queer voices, and fat voices within this movement, we honor its origins, strive for true liberation and challenge our own weight biases.
We owe much of our progress in rights and liberation to the LGBTTQI2SA community who’ve fought tirelessly for their rights, making strides not only within the body positivity movement but across all aspects of human liberation.
Now more than ever we MUST rally together, amplifying love, acceptance, and equality. Let’s break down the walls of prejudice and create a world that embraces and celebrates every unique identity. 💖
