This week my daughter, my motherhood and #mayanageneviere were born. It’s no surprise it falls on #worldbreastfeedingweek (a serendipitous series of events that was not intentional). When I started breastfeeding I had so many challenges, I was told my nipple was the wrong shape, my milk wasn’t coming in fast enough, I sought help with a lactation consultant, I used a lactation aid, my daughter was tongue tied and on and on. So many things I was not prepared for - while I breastfeed exclusively for 550 days I don’t have one photo of that experience 😔 ( if your thinking about it - take the picture) And then there was the discomfort of breastfeeding in public. I was travelling a lot then and was worried about what would be acceptable whether in a restaurant in my own back yard or another country.
