During Covid, we have pivoted our business resulting in an impact beyond what we could have imagined. Faced with many supply chain challenges since January, our team was unanimous in our decision to take action when Toronto went into lockdown. Home sewing (a revival of a skill first world countries had relegated to offshore production) highlighted our efforts are not only necessary but are required to develop a new product and produce at scale to meet demand. The lack of PPE supplies and the influx of counterfeit/ defective PPE from overseas affirmed our position even more. Our industry, that was once neglected, became essential.  As things progressed quickly, the CDC and Health Canada announced the requirements for mask wearing.  We immediately began researching the most effective designs and sourcing the recommended fabrics.
