We are sad about the passing of Dr. Dan Ross early this morning. Dr. Ross taught at A-State for 49 years and retired two years ago. He was an exceptional oboe performer and teacher who always supported the students of the A-State Bands in many different ways. Whether he was teaching or recruiting students, repairing instruments, serving as an assistant band director, recording concerts, or just offering a helping hand and words of encouragement, all of us associated with the A-State Bands owe a great debt to Dr. Ross and his incalculable contributions to our program. Our thoughts are with him and his family during this difficult time. ❤️
