Crying happy tears of thankfulness for all He's provided through this team and sad tears of sorrow that I'm leaving it. This basketball team has been a microcosm of the Church to me. The celebration together in the joy. The tears together in the pain. We've come together in unity which will be that my prayer for them as I leave and they continue. Sure, it's just a sport. But to me it's a representation of what heaven might be a little bit like. There's a holiness in the unity of this team coming together with the hope of Jesus above all that came in each season. That hope is what can dry my tears and provide me joy despite losing so much with the conclusion of this season!! Beyond thankful to call this sport mine and this team my own 🏀🤟
