I took this video of Ben 2 years ago today. We had fostered him for about 2 months and I decided to let him off leash on a walk one weekend — what I saw filled me with indescribable happiness: a dog who was once too scared to walk, who shied away from even the lightest touch was finally able to run to his heart’s desire, without pain or fear.
