“I adopted Tag in 2014 when I was freshly 19 and he was a ripe 10 years old. I went to the Detroit mhumane, I decided I’d just take a quick peak at the available dogs and that’s when I saw the most depressed looking senior dog laying in his kennel. Tag didn’t even lift his head up to look at me. I signed the paperwork, paid the adoption fee and off we went to the best three years of our lives.
That dog slept in my bed for four days straight when he came home, only getting up to eat and to go outside while decompressing from the stress of shelter life. The next three short years with him were the greatest years that he has ever known. I have never felt or knew a connection with an animal could be so strong and filled with love. We were always going on long walks in the park ...
