LASD Explorers from Temple Station participated in the us_space_force_official tour on Wednesday, March 27.  During the tour, they learned the history of the U.S. Space Force and some designs and models of #satellites, #rockets, and launching systems. They also learned how much power science and #technology have to improve our world.   Our Explorers also had the opportunity to build a project using their physics, mathematics, and geometry knowledge.  They needed to choose and utilize materials to create a stabilized structure at a certain height and also were able to hold a certain weight.  In addition, they needed to calculate the cost of their material to meet the budget requirement.  Following the project, they made paper rockets under the staff's instructions.  With joy and a feeling of accomplishment,  they launched their rockets!  "You can always work well together; people can work well together under any kind of an organizational arrangement." -----Bernard A.
