Astro processing! Its such a big topic and there are so many ways to approach it, it can be overwhelming. I know it was for me. That led me to not typically using stacking or blending in my photos (especially landscape astrophotography), but recently I have begun processing more.
In this case, I decided to process some old raw files from July that I planned to stack, but never actually did. (These were taken in a Bortle 4 site). I used Starry Landscape Stacker to stack my light frames, then stretched that out using Photoshop (stretching = scaling range of photos - in photoshop, use levels and curves), and then did some finishing touches in Lightroom Classic. Images 2-5 in the post show this process!
This image is cropped to focus on the Galactic Core region of the Milky Way!
50 light frames stacked. Nikon D7000, 13 sec each, f/3.5, 18mm, ISO 2500.
Any feedback or questions are greatly appreciated!!!
