Coach lukeylew2 has had me running this simple 5-10min session daily to run alongside my training in prep for my show.
The aim of these are to improve tendon health and combat the fatiguing joint soreness that comes with competition prep and being in a caloric deficit.
Isometrics like these 30-45s holds have been shown in research to initiate collagen synthesis signalling in the tendons to improve tendons health.
livrothh has done an amazing job with my entire training program and also added hamstring leg curl holds to her training.
That is why the holds that lukeylew2 has done with me are all quad dominant to ensure there are no stiffness differentials around the knee.
