Top squat triple from yesterday’s training @ 160kg (352lbs) x3.
Despite the slow descent, these actually felt great. In fairness, my warm-ups weren’t much faster 😄
I’m still experiencing some hesitation due to mild yet persistent glute discomfort, but I’ve been able to gradually add load to the bar without exasperating symptoms. I’ve been able to do this by monitoring load and taking small jumps in training intensity.
My glute gives out before my legs do so RPE is based on how my butt feels.

This is +5kg up from my previous heavy squat and only 10kg off my best triple.
I initially planned on doing a meet at the end of March, but I’ve decided to focus on Nationals instead. That is currently pending of course based on how Nationals is being decided this year. We shall see!
