My friend made a caption the other day that said “Be better or stay bitter” that resonated with me,and it was about time I talked about Worlds. (Thank you yojessthemess !!!) _ I left Sweden with a heavy heart. I know my friends and family and the people important to me didn’t negatively regard how it went, and were extremely proud that I put myself out there to fucking try. _ When I was (surprisingly) given the spot on the USA team, a dream of mine since I started powerlifting, I looked at what my next few months would include: the trials of graduating nursing school, searching for an apartment in another state and preparing to move there, preparing to go out of the country for the first time, and of course the diligent training regiment required to be at that level. _ I said FUCK YES to something amazing and scary and was grateful to be so privileged. _ None of it turned out to be the cool Rocky montage that I expected.
