Here’s a lil #FBF for ya. 1) 2011: first learned about powerlifting while working at the Human Performance lab at the Univ. of Tampa. I had maybe been squatting for a few weeks as you can see by my depth and shoes. 2) 2013: I moved back to ‘Cuse for grad school. This was 300x1 and a PR at the time. 3) Raw Nationals 2014 where I squatted 150kg (330lbs) at 63kg. jenthompson132 even let me warm-up with her in the warm-up room as she warmed up with 225x10 on bench 🤯 4) Summer 2016: Took 2 yrs off after thinking I wouldn’t ever compete again bc of low back pain. I’ve learned a thing or 2 since then :) 285x6 5) 2016: First time competing after 2 years. Started working with chadwesleysmith that summer and PR’d my squat by 7.5kg -157.5kg (347lbs) around 67kg 6) 2017: Move to Cali and began training at the Juggernaut gym. 165 (363)x3 at BW 64kg 7) 2018: Moved up to 72kg. Heaviest weight in training. 180kg (396) x1. I had attempted this weight at the 2018 Arnold’s as a 63 but missed it. ...
