Going in to bench I was a bit discouraged after missing my 3rd squat. Mentally I wasn’t into it anymore. chadwesleysmith sat me down and basically told me to get my head right... we had 6 more lifts to go. I ended up PR’ing both my bench and deadlift by 7.5kg. I don’t think that would’ve been possible had I mentally disengaged myself.

Sure missing a lift sucks but those negative feelings aren’t going to help you in your next attempts. Do you have the mental strength to bounce back and move forward?
