A lesson. I’ve had a bad attitude with my training lately. I cling so much to the title of being a ‘powerlifter’ that doing anything besides the big three felt like a waste of time. Whether it’s farmer carries, or lat pull downs- I felt like I was being unproductive if I wasn’t directly working SBD, drilling technique, etc. • I’m the first to tell ya, I’m here for the long haul. But the way I’ve approached this GPP phase hasn’t reflected that. • This past weekend I listened to marksmellybell podcast with eddycoan and talked to some of my old gym family. There’s a reason these people lasted, injuries and all. They always progressed, always brought it back to basics and became stronger. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results- expecting progress when your training is ONLY heavy SBD over and over, well that’s insane.
