Watch our @vcairunit work to hoist a man to safety from a swiftly flowing river 🚁 At about 9:30am this morning, the Ventura County Aviation Unit responded to a person in the water near Highway 33 and Stanley Avenue. The helicopter crew was able to make contact with the individual and remove him from the fast moving waters of the Ventura River. People who end up in the water can fall victim to exhaustion and hypothermia very quickly.
