Chief Kuredjian of the Fillmore Police Department went to Santa Clarita this morning to honor his brother, Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputy Hagop “Jake” Kuredjian, at the 21st annual memorial of his on duty passing. LASD Deputy Jake Kuredjian was responding to a back-up request in Santa Clarita when he was tragically shot and killed. August 31, 2001 was when LASD Deputy Jake Kuredjian’s 17 year career came to an end, and every year he is honored by his partners from the LASD Santa Clarita Station who stand for 24 hours to watch over his memorial site.
