In celebration of #WomensHistoryMonth, today we honor Deputy Dora Ponce Willeford. Deputy Ponce Willeford was VCSO’s first female deputy and served the citizens of Ventura County from 1949 - 1980. She worked patrol, investigations, detention services, and was the first female deputy assigned to the Ventura County Superior Court as a bailiff.
