If you're unsure about the right child passenger safety seat to use, you are not alone. Check out the results of a recent survey conducted with more than 1,000 parents:
* 31% of parents who used a child safety seat said that installing the car seat was confusing or frustrating.
* 28% of parents were not using a recommended type of restraint for their child.
* 18% of parents admitted that their child did not use any type of child safety seat or booster seat.
Remember that:
* Children should sit in the backseat until age 13.
* Children should use the type of safety restraint that is appropriate for their height and size. Check the label of your car seat.
* Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of unintentional death among children in the U.S. aged 5 and older.
* Child seats and booster seats significantly reduce the risk of injury or death in a crash.
