If you missed our shiftupnow webinar this week, we went over driver fitness training, the importance of it and which areas to focus on the most!
In order, these are the most important areas of the body drivers need to focus on:
1. Neck
2. Core
3. Shoulders
4. Arms (biceps/triceps)
5. Back (very underrated!)
Another simple guide on āwhat to train for racingā would be to pay attention to which parts of your body are sore after the race.
If itās sore, then you probably arenāt training those muscles enough!! Ive even had sore glutes and calves from mashing the throttle/brakes so donāt count out leg day either š
In addition to training the muscles, itās important to focus on form, breathing, stretching, and cognitive functionsš§ . There are apps like Luminosity that you can download to help train your brain aka work out your cognitive functions!
