So much so that I didn't take the time to appreciate and really enjoy what I had in front of me. A lot of self-reflection happened during my time "out of the seat". I realized why I started racing in the first place, why I choose this as a career path... because I love driving racecars and enjoy being behind the wheel more than anything. I told myself when the opportunity came again to be back on the track, that I wasn't going to get caught up in everything else, but just enjoy being in the car.
