A year ago today, we lost Gabriele ‘Gabe’ Grunewald. Gabe, a professional athlete, cancer research advocate and 2014 USATF Indoor national champion, passed away at the age of 32 after a long battle with cancer. She embodied true determination, dedication and commitment in every facet of her life. She will be remembered as one of the bravest athletes we knew.
