This week’s #MajorMonday features sophomore Petra Engstrom: “In keeping with my goal of saving the planet and all its inhabitants in the most just and compassionate way possible, I am a Sustainable Agriculture major and French minor. With my education at UC Davis, I will be a voice for the voiceless while mitigating the effects of climate change and stabilizing agricultural needs and practices. My two favorite classes so far have been Caribbean Studies in the African/African American Studies department and an evolution and ecology course from the bio division because both have incredible value for how to be the best kind of change in the world. After graduation, I plan to enter the Peace Corps and after that, graduate school, help my family with our microfarm, be a park ranger for the National Park Service, who knows!” #ThisIsWhoWeAre #GoAgs
