Junior Cortney Cunningham is featured in this week’s #MajorMonday! “I started off as a human development major, but I wasn’t liking some of the required classes, especially physiology, so I decided to change majors. Now I am a sociology major with an emphasis in social services. I took a sociology class, and I really enjoyed it! My favorite class so far has been AAS 10- African American Culture & Society because I was able to learn more about my past and other things I did not know of. I was also able to apply what I learned to real world circumstances and what’s going on around the U.S. right now. My professor was really great and understanding, and I am now pursuing a minor in African American & African Studies. Post graduation, I plan on getting my Multiple Subjects Teaching Credentials with aspirations of teaching elementary grade levels.
