Some highlights on the parks featured in order of appearance 🎥: St. Patrick’s Island was redeveloped in 2015 with hiking and biking trails, a public plaza and amphitheatre, playground, and restored river channels. Prince’s Island Park is named for Peter Anthony Prince, a lumberman who came to Calgary in 1886. Barb Scott Park features the illuminated public art piece, Chinook Arc, provides interest while driving down 12 avenue and serves as a beacon of light for this highly visible location. Century Gardens was recently redeveloped and features: Heritage waterfalls, public art sculptures, a wood amphitheatre, new central water feature splash pad. Sien Lok Park has a sculpture titled "In Search of Gold Mountain" which was sculpted by Chu Honsun from 15 tonnes of granite from Hopei Province in China.
